Applicable Permissions
- AccountingAccess – Allows viewing of fees/credits/payments/refunds.
- AccountingEdit – Allows assignment of fees/credits/manual payments/manual refunds.
- AccountingPayPalPayment – Allows all AccountingEdit permissions plus the ability to charge credit cards.
- AccountingPayPalRefund – Allows all AccountingEdit permissions plus the ability to refund credit cards.
- AccountingPayPal – Allows all AccountingEdit permissions plus the ability to charge and refund credit cards.
Description
The accounting module is a control to enable automated payment collection and refunds thru RES’s administrative web application. This is a double entry accounting module with four different types of entries possible including:
Fees - A student is charged a fee (student, reschedule, cancellation, other). A fee does not indicate transferred funds but rather shows that funds are due from a student.
Credits - A student is issued a credit. Like fees, credits do not indicate transferred funds but rather show that funds are due to a student.
Payments and Refunds - Adding the Fees and Credits will determine whether a payment or refund is due. If the balance of fees and credits is positive then a payment is due. Unlike fees and credits, payments and refunds indicate transfer of funds either manually or automated.
